July 7, 2010 -- USCIS updated its count of FY 2011 cap-subject H-1B petitions and advanced degree cap-exempt petitions receipted. As of 07/02/10, approximately 24,200 H-1B cap-subject petitions were receipted. USCIS has receipted 10,400 H-1B petitions for aliens with advanced degrees. Currently, the USCIS is still accepting H-1B petitions under both the general cap and the advanced degrees cap.
