Xiaohui (Sharon) Yu, Esq.


Founding Partner and Attorney at Law. Xiaohui (Sharon) Yu, is an international lawyer with the practice focus on business transactions, foreign investment, immigration, corporate governance, corporate finance, cross-border merger & acquisition, customs, technology transfer and licensing, securities, banking, antidumping, and dispute settlement matters. Ms. Yu graduated from one of the leading U.S. law schools, New York University School of Law. She is a member of American Bar Association. Ms. Yu worked at the People¡¯s Bank of China before coming to the U.S. and she practiced law at top international law firms including White & Case, B&H, and Herbert Smith in the U.S. and U.K. Ms. Yu has represented many U.S. and Chinese companies in their investment in various industries in China and U.S. Ms. Yu has rich experience in handling all kinds of immigrant and non-immigrant visa cases, helping numerous professionals, outstanding scholars and multinational corporate executives to legally study, work and conduct business in the U.S. Ms. Yu also provides a broad range of services, including conducting due diligence, structuring business deals, draft and review contracts and documentations, issuing legal opinion, and assisting clients in business negotiation and communicating with government authorities. Her working languages are Chinese and English.

Ms. Yu has published several legal articles and book chapters including the "International Law Dictionary" and serves on the Asian American Advisory Group of Montgomery County, Maryland. She is frequently interviewed by television stations on immigration topics and invited to deliver speeches at international conferences on the topics of legal issues in establishing corporation and doing cross-border investment and business transactions in China and the U.S.


M. Scott Alprin, Esq.


Of counsel and Attorney at Law. M. Scott Alprin graduated from the Washington College of Law (WCL) and the School of International Service (SIS) at American University in Washington, D.C. His practice focuses on prosecuting trademark applications and maintaining registrations at the U.S. Patent and Trademark; handling representation of both applicants and opposers in opposition proceedings, preparing trademark search reports regarding availability of trademarks for use and registration in the U.S.; preparing assignments and other transfers of trademark and patent rights; and preparing licensing agreements. Mr. Alprin also served as a lecturer and coordinator for the Japanese Intellectual Property Association (JIPA) meeting sponsored by Westerman, Hattori, Daniels & Adrian. His working languages are English and Japanese.


Ming Chow, Patent Agent


Ming Chow received his Master of Computer Science in 1985 and had worked in the telecommunication industry for almost eighteen years. The companies that Ming worked for including AT&T Bell Laboratories, Fujitsu Network Switching, and Hughes Network Systems. Ming held positions from a Member of Technical Staff, Manager, Senior Manager, to a Director. Areas that Ming contributed to included engineering, product management, business development, and marketing. Ming joined United States Patent & Trademark Office in 2002 and, being a Patent Examiner, had prosecuted numerous high-tech patent applications. His working languages are English and Chinese.
