Dr. Chou

Dr. Chou is a medical researcher who is currently conducting research at a first rank research university. She holds a Ph.D. in physiology from one the top research universities in the U.S. and a B.S. in Physical Therapy from a top medical university in Taipei, Taiwan. She has been has worked on novel treatments for several serious diseases such as asthma, COPD, and autoimmune diseases.

Our firm¡¯s strategy was to show that Dr. Chou¡¯s research contributions outclassed her peers in this field. We successfully demonstrated Dr. Chou¡¯s qualifications for the National Interest Waiver through a strong petition letter from the attorney highlighting her numerous publications and presentations, the sponsorship of her work by government agencies and major companies, her invitations to serve as reviewer and news reports on her work. We also collected recommendation letters for Dr. Chou from senior researchers at prestigious universities and health institutions.

Our experienced attorneys were able to put together a strong petition for Dr. Chou, which was filed in August 2009 and quickly approved after only two months in early November 2009.

Dr. Gupta

Dr. Gupta, an Indian scientist, holds a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and is developing new treatments for cancer at a leading biotechnology company. His specialty is proteomics, the study of proteins, which is a cutting edge area of medicine that promises new pathways for diagnosing and treating many diseases.

Considering he had made important research contributions, but only had a small number of publications without many citations in his field, our attorneys thought that Dr. Gupta could have a strong case as an applicant for NIW, but not for EB-1a. To bolster his NIW case, we collected five recommendation letters from distinguished professors and researchers to emphasize the importance of his research accomplishments and the intrinsic value of his research specialty. The number of recommendation letters is not important, but the quality of the letters is key. We also used our extensive experience to draft a convincing petition letter that showed Dr. Gupta¡¯s work is highly valued by other scientists as well as the U.S. government and that his contributions were far above average.

With our clearly presented case, we were easily able to have Dr. Gupta¡¯s petition approved by the USCIS in the middle of April 2010 after we submitted it in March 2010.
