Ms. Lan is an executive at a non-profit research organization focusing on global health education. Ms. Lan's higher education institute in Beijing retained us for an L-1 Intracompany Transferee visa extension case for the purpose of continuing Ms. Lan's transfer to their subsidiary organization in the United States as General Manager.
After discussing with the client and analyzing the information provided, we were able to gain a thorough understanding of Ms. Lan's prior experience. We then needed to demonstrate that Ms. Lan's knowledge and practical experience while at the parent company and the U.S. subsidiary continued to meet the requirement for L1 intra-company transferee. Although it was clear that Ms. Lan occupied senior positions both abroad and in the US, it was more complicated to show, through the evidence provided, that she was involved in managerial or executive roles. Due to our extensive experience handling L1 cases, we knew that we needed to highlight the details of Ms. Lan's responsibilities in the US subsidiary and parent organization, and provide a thorough overview of the managerial tasks she performed.
As a result of our diligent assessment of the evidence provided, we were able to show that her managerial position at the parent institution and her executive position at the U.S. subsidiary met the requirements for L1 extension. Ms. Lan can now continue her work in the United States and maintain her critical role leading the operations of the U.S. subsidiary.
